<p>Role Level: Senior</p><p>IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS</p><p>● Work experience: 5+ Years</p><p>● Core Skills: VMware, AWS</p><p>● Preferred Skills: Security, Application Deployments, Patch Management, , DR/BC</p><p>● What will the Candidate be doing?:</p><p>VMC Migration Engineers (VMEs) are members of the client's Professional Services (PS) team responsible for leading the transformation of organizations' on-premises VMware environments into Amazon Web Services (AWS) leveraging VMware CloudTM for AWS (VMC on AWS). VMEs leverage their strong understanding and experience working with and supporting legacy workloads to help customers understand what a migration to VMC on AWS entails, the expected level of effort (LOE), potential Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and projected Return on Investment (ROI). VMEs use their in-depth understanding of VMC on AWS to achieve successful migrations to the cloud that increases operational agility and creates new opportunities for customers. VMEs are “Brand Ambassadors” that demonstrate client's experience, expertise, and execution prowess, daily.</p><p><br></p><p>What makes a successful VME?</p><p><br></p><p>VMEs possess great problem-solving skills and love staying up to date with the latest technology and using those technologies to develop innovative, cutting-edge solutions. VMEs perform at their best when faced with difficult challenges that may have stumped others – this is seen as an opportunity to apply the full breadth of their knowledge and skill to prove the art of the possible!</p><p><br></p><p>Essential Skills and Experience</p><p><br></p><p>5+ years of continual experience working with VMware</p><p>2+ years working in a customer-facing capacity</p><p>Demonstrable knowledge of how to deploy, configure and administer:</p><p>Software Defined Data Centers (SDDCs)</p><p>Software Defined Networks (SDNs)</p><p>Software Defined Storage (SDS)</p><p>Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)</p><p>2+ years deploying and configuring, preferably in AWS:</p><p>Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)</p><p>Platforms-as-a-Service (PaaS)</p><p>Demonstrable knowledge, supported by prior experience, in the following domains:</p><p>Infrastructure security</p><p>Enterprise application deployments and maintenance</p><p>System patching</p><p>Disaster recovery / business continuity</p><p>Strong command of Microsoft Office products (e.g.: Word, PowerPoint, Excel)</p><p>Proficiency in the use of diagramming tools (e.g.: LucidChart)</p><p>Ability to work with multiple clients, in parallel, managing competing project deadlines</p><p>Attention to detail</p><p>Exceptional communication and time management</p><p>Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience</p><p><br></p><p>VMware Professional certification</p><p>VMC on AWS certification</p><p>One or more cloud certifications (e.g.: AWS Cloud Practitioner)</p><p>Experience deploying / administering AWS FSx for NetApp ONTAP</p><p>Experience performing snap-mirroring and snap-scheduling configuration and administration</p><p>Experience deploying, configuring, and administering VMware Horizon VDI and VMware Cloud Director environments</p><p><br></p>
