- I have control of the operations that are carried out within the company.
- Are the cost estimates of each process and the people involved in it clear?
- My company works island type? That is, the different systems within the company do not communicate with each other.
- Within my company there is an inordinate generation of internal documents.
- In my company, do you enter the same data in multiple systems?
If you have affirmative answers, you should evaluate the possibility of implementing a BPM in your company.
It is important that each organization is clear about their critical processes and their needs in order to define which BPM to work with. If you want to implement software that is already on the market or develop one tailored to the company, you should take into account the costs and benefits that each of these modalities imply.
The correct steps for a company to adopt a BPM are simplified in:
- Select the right personnel to intervene in the process of raising information on the processes.
- Identify, design, document and measure the current way of carrying out the processes and define what would be the best way to carry them out.
- Define the strategic objectives of the company, so that each process is aligned to the fulfillment of the goals.
- According to the needs of the organization, define which software to work with, which must be flexible so that it adapts to the already established requirements.
- Create the different users and generate the permissions and roles of each one, establishing the responsibilities according to the hierarchy they have.
- Load the different process flows, these flows depending on their characteristics and the selected software can be linear or in Y.
- Ensure compliance with each of the processes, taking into account that if necessary the processes can be changed over time if required.
