The current pages and websites must be dynamic, full of valuable information for the user, as well as an attractive interface that does not “scare” its visitors. React is one of the ideal frameworks to develop this type of sites.

React is a JavaScript framework that allows a developer to quickly and efficiently create user interfaces by including Java files in their HTML. They also describe it as a Java library which helps to create attractive and dynamic user interfaces, helping with the structure of the web application.

Key benefits of React for frontend development

  • Speed

The framework allows developers and engineers to use individual parts of the application, both client-side and server-side, which speeds up the development process, meaning multiple developers can write parts individually and not logic will be affected.

  • Flexibility

The code generated by React is easy to maintain and flexible, due to its modular structure. The fact that it is flexible translates into saving a good amount of time and money for the team and for the company.

  • Performance

React is designed for high performance, the core of this framework offers developers a virtual DOM and server-side rendering, making complex applications run fast.

  • Usability

If the developer has basic knowledge of JavaScript, then they can run and use React without any problem. Already a JavaScript expert can learn everything about this framework in a very short time and use it according to his need.

  • Reusable components

One benefit that React offers is its reusable components, this saves developer time since they don't have to write several codes for the same functions and any changes made in a particular part will not affect the other parts of the application.

What is useEffect in React

In React, useEffect is a hook that allows you to perform side effects on a functional component. Side effects are operations that occur outside of the normal flow of component rendering, such as getting data from an API, setting up subscriptions, or modifying the DOM.

The useEffect hook takes two arguments: a function that performs the side effect, and an optional array of dependencies that specify when the effect should be executed. The function passed to useEffect is executed after the component has been rendered for the first time and is then executed again whenever any of the dependencies change.

Here's an example of using useEffect to get data from an API:

import { useState, useEffect } from 'react';

function MyComponent() {
   const [data, setData] = useState([]);

   useEffect(() => {
     fetch('https://api.example.com/data')
       .then(response => response.json())
       .then(data => setData(data));
   }, []);

   return(
     <ul>
       {data.map(item => <li key={item.id}>{item.name}</li>)}
     </ul>
   );
}

In this example, the useEffect hook is used to get data from an API and update the component's state with the result. The empty array [] passed as the second argument to useEffect means that the effect will only be executed once, after the initial rendering of the component.

At Rootstack we have worked with React to cover the technological needs of our clients

React helps create interactive user interfaces easily. Design simple views for each state in your app, and React will take care of efficiently updating and rendering the correct components when the data changes.

Create encapsulated components that handle their own state and turn them into complex user interfaces. Since the component logic is written in JavaScript and not in templates, you can easily pass data through your application and keep state outside of the DOM.

Our team of experts in this framework and in JavaScript have used it to complete interesting and complex projects in which we have worked hand in hand with our international clients.

Do not hesitate any longer and contact one of our advisors, they will be able to guide you in detail about all the solutions and services that we have at your disposal.
