<p>-Design, build and maintain efficient, scalable, reusable, and reliable Ruby code</p><p>-Assume the project will be at least 6 months, but potentially last for several years</p><p>-Main job will be to maintain an existing website, add new features, enhance existing ones, improve the codebase, identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, improve performance</p><p>-Website gets significant traffic and needs someone experienced, at least 7+ years of experience coding websites, 5+ years with Ruby</p><p>-Strong understanding of Front End technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3</p><p>-Strong understanding of databases, ability to integrate with multiple databases and data source into one system</p><p>-Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application</p><p>-Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes</p><p>-Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (git)</p><p>-Proficient understanding of testing tools, platforms and the full code release process</p><p>-Excellent communication skills, excellent English language skills, strong experience interacting directly with an end client and working through requirements with them, communicating progress</p><p>-Familiarity with AWS a plus</p>
