Mid-Level Full Stack Developer

Job Description

At Rootstack, we are looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer with experience building web, mobile, backend, and cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of React, Next.js, React Native, Node.js, and AWS services, along with experience developing APIs, microservices, and scalable cloud solutions. This role requires a proactive professional who applies software development best practices, collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and is available to work onsite in Panama.

Required Skills

3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Experience developing web, mobile, and backend applications.
Strong experience with React, Next.js, and React Native.
Experience developing and publishing applications for iOS and Android.
Strong knowledge of Node.js, Express, and NestJS.
Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
Knowledge of responsive design, state management, sessions, authentication, and reusable components.
Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Experience with containerized architectures and serverless services using AWS Lambda.
Knowledge of AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, Cognito, Application Load Balancer, S3, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache, and Elastic Container Registry.
Experience managing environment variables, secrets, permissions, and access roles.
Experience deploying applications across development, testing, and production environments.
Knowledge of software design patterns, secure development practices, documentation, version control, and code reviews.
English level: B1 or higher.
Availability to work onsite in Panama.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web, mobile, backend, and cloud-based applications.
Build responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, and React Native.
Develop and publish mobile applications for iOS and Android.
Design, build, and integrate secure REST APIs and microservices.
Develop backend services using Node.js, Express, and NestJS.
Implement authentication, authorization, session management, and access controls.
Integrate applications with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Build and maintain containerized and serverless architectures.
Deploy and manage applications using AWS cloud services.
Configure analytics and frontend monitoring tools.
Manage variables, credentials, permissions, secrets, and cloud access roles securely.
Apply software development best practices, design patterns, and security-by-design principles.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and version-control processes.
Collaborate with developers, QA, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Monitor, optimize, and continuously improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
