Success Story: Implementation of a Complete Custom Ecommerce

Challenge

The client joined Rootstack to develop a complete custom ecommerce, adapting the old system they had previously and including new functionalities.

The adaptation and integration of the new platform with the previous systems in Oracle with the registry of the complete product portfolio was a challenge, not only because of the wide variety of products but also because of the archaism of the structures.

Our Solutions

The final product was an ecommerce platform where the user can view the products by categories, apply filters, manage their shopping cart, and carry out the complete checkout process, with integration with the payment and shipping method, and users management.

Our software developers used NuxtJS, a framework that is based on Vue.js and written in JavaScript.

An implementation with Oracle Elasticsearch was done to index all the products that they previously had in their database and allow complex and fast searches, show features or promotion products, their characteristics, categorization, and more.

Integrating Oracle Elasticsearch into the eCommerce project offered numerous benefits, including improved search functionality, scalability, real-time data analytics, high performance, and seamless integration with the Oracle ecosystem.
