A point of sale system, or Point of Sale (POS), is a computer tool that is adapted to physical equipment, or hardware, used for tasks and daily processes of a business, such as: sales control, reports, billing and inventory control.
A POS, in addition to the aforementioned functions, helps businesses centralize all their customer data in order to keep a more effective record.
It should be noted that the POS is also the set where the person who makes all the interaction of the sale sits or sits, including the device where the cards are passed, whether debit or credit. Also, a point of sale could be the machine itself depending on its use, such as a vending machine.
