Success Story: Improving Errors and Performance in a Mobile Banking App
Rootstack provided support to a Banking institution to improve critical errors in the operation of its mobile identity app.
Challenge
Creditoken Mobile is an innovative mobile application that allows users to securely authenticate themselves through their Android or IOS device and verify transactions to provide security and protection when initiating online transactions.
This App had faults in its operation, which meant frequent complaints from its customers, and it was also being penalized by Google for having a crash percentage greater than 5%.
The finance company sought help from Rootstack for our expertise in mobile development to identify and solve these problems.
Our solutions
The first step was to install an error analytics tool to understand where errors were generated and find the causes using Firebase's Crashlytics. Then we worked on fixing these errors and we reduced the crashing rate from 5% to 0.3%.
Through Crashlytics another error was detected: memory leaks. The handling of the windows that were shown to the users was not being adequate and this generated internal problems when managing the application.
Rootstack software developers also worked to further strengthen security by implementing KeyStores to encrypt passwords and make them protected against attacks that the application may have.
Rootstack worked fast to fix complex problems that were directly impacting the business and to strengthen application security.
